# Artifacts

> Generate presentations, spreadsheets, documents, and PDFs directly from chat.

Artifacts are rich documents that Dimension creates during chat. Ask for what you need, and Dimension generates it — ready to export, edit, or share.

## Types

| Type              | Export format |
| ----------------- | ------------- |
| **Presentations** | PPTX, PDF     |
| **Spreadsheets**  | XLSX          |
| **Documents**     | Rich text     |
| **PDF Documents** | PDF           |

## Creating artifacts

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask Dimension">
    Describe what you need in chat:

    * "Create a presentation about our Q4 results"
    * "Build a spreadsheet comparing competitor pricing"
    * "Write a project brief for the mobile app redesign"
    * "Generate a PDF report of our quarterly metrics"
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the outline">
    For presentations and PDFs, Dimension proposes an outline first for your approval before generating the full content. You can request changes to the outline before proceeding.

    <Tip>Take a moment to review the outline — it's much easier to restructure content at this stage than after the full artifact is generated.</Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Get your result">
    Dimension generates the full artifact. You can preview it directly in chat and export it in the supported format.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Iterate">
    Ask Dimension to revise any artifact after it's been created:

    * "Change slide 3 to focus more on revenue growth"
    * "Add a new sheet with monthly totals"
    * "Rewrite the introduction to be more concise"
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Sharing

You can share any artifact via a public link. Anyone with the link can view the full content without needing a Dimension account.

<Note>You can also share an entire conversation's artifacts at once via a shared thread link.</Note>

## Library

All artifacts are saved to your **Library** automatically. You can browse, search, favorite, and manage your artifacts from the Library page.
